A Scottish Wedding and Austin in a Kilt

On Friday we attended the wedding of Colin and Georgie Armstrong.  Weddings are one of the few times in which Scotsmen still wear kilts, and they were out in force.  I even managed to get in on the kilt action.  Scottish weddings are different from American weddings in that the ceremony takes place fairly early in the day, followed by a lunch for intimate family, and then everyone reconvenes that evening for a good old-fashioned ceilidh.  Ceilidh (pronounced KAY-lee) are Scottish folk dances, and they're pretty easy to learn, so Mandi and I had a lot of fun dancing.  The ceilidh was at the Balmoral, the nicest hotel in the city, and its reputation is well deserved.
